My name is Tony Collins, general dogsbody photographer to the Collins and Akerley families. All the photos on this site have been shot digitally using
either an Olympus C2000, Canon D30 or more recently Canon 20D digital cameras.
How have the Church Stewards coped with the opening of the Wesley Centre?
It has brought a new dimension to our role. We have been given the opportunity to widen our fellowship with the latest technology and modern premises.
We have been able to make ourselves available for this new challenge and operate the church in the normal way.
The church cleaning rota means that most people only have duties three times a year.
I want to thank the stewards, Kath Walmsley for the Flower Rota, and also many more who help us to worship on a regular basis.I have recently shot a number of family christenings, and have also in the last year or so, been roped into shooting a couple of weddings for friends.

Wesley Place Methodist Church lies in the very heart of Alsager. It aims to provide a caring, sharing church which will meet all your needs for fellowship, friendship and fun.

The revitalised premises were formally opened on Saturday 6th May, 2006, by Lady Ann Winterton, MP for Congleton, after a short service conducted by Revd Kim Stilwell with Revd Anthony Tagg (Deputy District Chair) preaching the sermon.
The project includes a spacious new entrance foyer; a new fully equipped kitchen; new toilets including disabled facilities; lift to the first floor; new heating system; new meeting rooms of various sizes, and a new floor and ceiling in the large hall which will seat up to 200.
Externally the building will blend sympathetically with its 19th century origins.
The designers of the project were VWB Architects of Congleton and the builders were Termax Construction Ltd of Sandbach.
We anticipate that we shall need approximately £50,000 to raise after the work has been completed and any donations would be most gratefully received.
